I usually don't die and will move a lot to not get hit from fire but it also happened that some fights almost one-shoted me. I saw a lot on forums that you shouldn't be vampire for VR due to the Fire everywhere. I love the magicka regen from Vampire but the Health regen and fire dmg taken are strong weakness. I'm constantly thinking of : should I stay Vampire or not? I could switch from food to drink and get my regen up to 3000, but that would make my health too low and my damage too weak. 2000 seems to be the 'sweet spot' for Magicka regen, so I try to make sure I have a bit more than that. If you're going to solo dungeon bosses (notice my fight against Oraneth lasted 10 minutes!), you MUST have enough regen to keep going until the end.

Now, any class can use it, each a bit differently. The skill line also has a gap closer, a heavy hitter with cc, an execution move, and a stamina based self heal with damage buff. It starts out with an aoe, it might not be the hardest hitting thing, but you can morph it to give you a scaling damage shield that's dependent on the number of enemies hit.

Some classes can use class skills to get what 2h offers.

BUT it is not necessarily the best choice. 2handed is likely the most solo friendly skill line on its own.
